Summary:      Classifying objects is a common approach in research projects. When the objects to classify are defined in a fuzzy universe, the choice and definition of a "good" indicator is a problem. The purpose of this study is to build a fuzzy indicator and to classify imprecisely defined objects in assessing the efficacy of food products' transport systems. 
Impact:           A better understanding of food products' transport and distribution channels is likely to secure new markets at profitable prices in emerging economies.
